Image
Karan Johar – like many other Indian film lovers – cannot stop gushing about Pathaan. The spy thriller headlined by Shah Rukh Khan has taken the nation by storm and is running to packed houses. On the third day of its release, the movie became the fastest Hindi film to breach the ₹ 300-crore mark. Needless to say, Karan Johar cannot stop praising Pathaan . In a new Instagram Stories, the filmmaker said, “Nothing matters more than a great film! The mega blockbuster success proves that excessive promotions, fear of trolling, boycott threats, just about all the myths that we as an industry propagate or believe in are redundant when a film like PATHAAN kills all of it. Old school conviction and a kick-ass trailer is what we all need!” Karan Johar also mentioned producer Aditya Chopra, director Siddharth Anand, John Abraham, Deepika Padukone and Salman Khan, who appears in a cameo. “So t...

On Holocaust Day, Polish PM Accuses Putin Of Building 'New Camps'

Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki on Friday used the occasion of Holocaust Remembrance Day to accuse Russian President Vladimir Putin of building "new camps" while waging war against Ukraine. "On the anniversary of the liberation of the Nazi German death camp Auschwitz-Birkenau, let us remember that to the east Putin is building new camps," Morawiecki said on Facebook. "Solidarity and consistent support for Ukraine are effective ways to ensure that history does not come full circle," he added. Morawiecki did not elaborate on his accusation against Russia, though it echoed a claim made by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky last year. In an address in October, Zelensky spoke of Olenivka, "a concentration camp where our prisoners are kept". UN investigators also said last year they had documented more than 400 arbitrary detentions and enforced disappearances by Russian forces in Ukraine. Poland on Friday marked the 78th anniversary ...

Russian Missiles Kill 11 In Ukraine A Day After US, Germany Tank Pledge

A blistering wave of Russian strikes targeting Ukraine's energy infrastructure killed 11 people on Thursday, a day after Germany and the United States pledged heavy tanks for Kyiv. The stepped-up military aid swept aside long-standing misgivings among allies and signalled a surge of Western support for a counteroffensive against the Russian invasion. The latest wave of Russian attacks came as the Kremlin said it perceived the tanks "as direct involvement in the conflict". Many Ukrainians welcomed the move, with a doctor who only gave her first name Liza telling AFP near the frontline city of Bakhmut that "this should have happened sooner and in bigger quantities". As a result of Russia's latest missile strikes, 11 people were killed and 11 others were wounded, Ukraine's emergency services said. Earlier in the day, officials said that a 55-year-old man was killed in Kyiv by fragments of a missile that was shot down by Ukrainian air defence systems. ...

"These officers were found to be directly responsible for the physical abuse of Mr Nichols," Memphis Police Chief Cerelyn Davis said late Wednesday. "This is n...
